Benefits for participating students

After the completion of the course you will be able to:

  • identify sources for creative ideas and to use company internal and external sources for creative ideas,
  • apply screening processes for new ideas and different search methods for idea selection and evaluating creative ideas
  • develop, understand and reflect upon the different parts of a business proposal including express in writing the characteristics of the person/team, product/service, the market and competition as well as the financial planning for the business model/case
  • reflect on (literature about) idea generation and sources of innovation, product innovation and evaluation, and entrepreneurship
  • apply the knowledge provided in a specific case and work together with a company on identifying and evaluating creative ideas
  • do an elevator pitch that is to understand and apply on how to present an idea or business case in a short (around 5min) talk

My biggest personal gain was to experience the creative tools. This is taking brainstorm to a different level, involving group dynamic – it has been very interesting. I hope it is something I can employ later in other projects and cases.
