Course Structure

- Combining innovation theory and issues of sustainability to create solutions that both benefit users, companies and society

 

The course has two main parts:
In part 1, the Master Level students learn the theory, models and tools to work with, taken from sustainable innovation management and entrepreneurship literature (CSR and CSI). Employees from participating Partner Companies can join the lectures.

Part 2 of the elective focuses on turning in the theoretical perspectives into concrete practical solutions for the business cases submitted by the participating Partner Companies. This is done on a 12 hour business camp participated by students, company representatives and camp facilitators. The concrete business cases assigned by the partner companies are introduced on the last lecture May 6th and company participants therefore needs to be present for this lecture at CBS. On May 13th companies are advised to invite their group of students for a company visit. This visit shall give the students the opportunity to explore the company and case background in order to be prepared to solve the actual business case on the 12 hour camp on May 27th.

Part2:
course plan

Min. four and max. six companies are invited to become a case company for the elective spring 2009. Each company will be assigned a group of students from the class, whom will work on the company´s business case throughout part 2 of the elective.
